It’s a Chemical Reaction

From Sophie’s school:
During Small Groups in the Blue Room today, the children explored what happens when white vinegar is added to baking soda. Using eyedroppers Blue Roomers squeezed drops of vinegar (with added blue food coloring for fun) to baking soda and watched the results with close fascination. They were so entranced with the activity (resulting in an abundance of lively bubbles that left crater-like holes) that they asked to do it again tomorrow! If you’d like to try it at home, it’s easy to do and requires only baking soda, an eyedropper, distilled white vinegar and food coloring for added color.
